Easy
There were days when I would bypass the easy photos. It just seemed wrong. (It must have been the Calvinist upbringing we get in New England.) Now, easy is good.
Like Woody Guthrie said "Take it easy, but take it!" Or if you prefer "Any damn fool can get complicated" or "Anyone who uses more than two chords is just showing off"
I prefer to call it "observant." Or as Mies van der Rohe said, "Pay close attention to life, God is in the details." There. Does that help assuage the Calvinist?
Looking up is easy enough and you get good surprises!
ReplyDeleteIt might be easy but it definitely is effective!
ReplyDeleteIf "orange" was a monthly theme, you'd be in business. Now what's wrong with easy?!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I prefer to call it 'imaginative' Jack!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we can make things more complicated than they need to be! This is an orange delight.
ReplyDeleteYou're easy now? STOP the presses!

ReplyDeleteI'd say you've seen the light! Well done!
ReplyDeleteRe your question. You were there but you're head shrunk!
Great image. Yep, John Calvin was pretty cut and dry. You have much more personality.
ReplyDeleteNicely framed too!
ReplyDeleteA sunflower I think... ;)
ReplyDeleteIt just seems easy because you saw the light, but not everyone would. This fixture is light squared.
ReplyDeleteGood eye, Jack!
ReplyDeleteI'm lazy and I always try to get the easy shots...

ReplyDeleteA good eye indeed and you've definitely seen the Light!! Lovely capture and colors for the day, Jack!! Hope you're enjoying your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteA lovely, yummy, orangy light photo!
ReplyDeleteI sat by a guy at a biz lunch in Denver yesterday who lives in your neck of the woods....Maine!
Easy can be good in lots of ways, including quality. This took some sharp observation.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago I had my picture taken in the pulpit of the Congregational church in Belfast where John Wesley preached. Nothing rubbed off.
Nice capture.
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning, Jack.
ReplyDeleteNice one. It takes a good eye to see this kind of shot.
ReplyDeleteYou need a good eye to see something like this.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the color and light.
ReplyDeleteYou did it very well, wonderful light!
ReplyDeleteLéia
Good eye, Jack. This is quite pleasing. I doubt I would ever see a light fixture and rays of light like this.
ReplyDeleteYes Jack, easy is good. Congratulations for shedding the remnants of your Calvinist upbringing.
ReplyDeleteWell spotted!
ReplyDeleteSo simple & stylish!:)
ReplyDeleteLove the rich colour, the pattern and the contrasts in this shot Jack. Thanks for the reminder to "look up"! Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
