Well done Jack, you could easily have cropped the top image, but sadly as you say, some people treat the world as their own private garbage bin..it's one of the things that make me so angry. You can still see the beauty of the area.
I like your interpretation of "water's edge" in the first shot. The natural beauty is still there with the beautiful fall colors and reflections. It's just unfortunate that us people sometimes ruin those scenes with our junk! Happy November! :)
It is so sad to see what some people do to our parks and other beautiful places! What's so difficult about finding a trash can in a public place???? Great shots, Jack, and thank you for the trash-free second shot -- gives me hope!!
The water's edge offers a myriad of interpretation, and you chose the more unusual scene for today, but alas, it is too common in too many areas. The ducks in the second photo appreciate the environment in which they find themselves!
People dropping litter makes me so cross. I saw a chap outside my house the other morning toss his coffee cup over a fence. It was only that I was still in my nightie that stopped me running after him to remonstrate!
Dear Jack: Ahem...please do not blame me for your jumpy eyes and frazzled nerves. Methinks those symptoms might have more to do with the "spirits" you were drinking last night! That's what methinks. :-)
I'm glad you decided to show that first one too. So awful what people do to trash (literally, figuratively) nature. Still a beautiful backdrop, with glorious autumn on display.
Jack, I really appreciate the fact you have chosen the trash shot as the main photo on this day. Sadly this is a shocking worldwide reality and showing it is somehow pedagogic, if you know what I mean. Apart from that, it's a beautiful photo.

I agree, people (some people) just don't care... it would be a lovely view otherwise... I forgot about theme day... oops!
ReplyDeleteSadly Jack you are right.

ReplyDeleteSo distressing!
ReplyDeleteWell, this, too is part of our urban life, but I hate that people trash the environment! Your fall colors are very striking!

ReplyDeleteHappy November! :)
I try to use trash-cans. Some people seem to have a problem with that idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you posted the second photo, the first one is a bit sad.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you showed the first one. It's so sad. But the trees are beautiful.

ReplyDeleteVery sad, Jack, but the autumn colorss and the reflections are really great!
ReplyDeleteThankfully it is a minority that consists of such fools but they have such an impact!

ReplyDeleteYou managed to highlight both the beautiful and the ugly in that top shot, Jack. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteAack! What's wrong with people?! So glad you posted both pics. I hope the duckies don't encounter any trash during their swim.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe there are still people who just toss their trash wherever. You have great fall colors though.
ReplyDeleteSad to see. What are people thinking?
ReplyDeleteI went from "oooh" to "oh" as you downloaded. Pity about the trash in such a glorious spot.
ReplyDeleteSadly we're a culture of clutter and waste. The top photos says it all.
ReplyDeleteV
I wonder if they would do this to their homes. Nice reflection on the first shot.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't know ugliness, how would you appreciate beauty? :o
ReplyDeleteMethinks the picture drives it more starkly to us. I'm sure all of us who saw this mentally removed the trash and took in the scene.
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. . .pave paradise, put in a parking lot. . .[Thank you, Joni Mitchell]
ReplyDeletei absolutely despise a litterbug...beautiful capture, and i love that you kept it real.
ReplyDeleteHate the first one (too common here) and love the second!
ReplyDeletePeople can be awful sometimes. The reflection is pretty though!
ReplyDeleteReally interesting your choice for the theme day. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
ReplyDeleteHave a great month!

ReplyDeleteSadly they not only disregard beauty but also spoil it...
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
Cezar
what is that in the water?!
ReplyDeletebeehhh!
This is pretty sad that people disrespect nature like that.
