Mike

Mike is a security guard at One State House Square.  He was half an hour away from finishing a 16-hour shift.  Still, he was in a good mood and his shirt was as clean and well-pressed as if it had just come off the hanger.

Mike had a birthday one week ago and was given a promotion that day.  He is proud of his work as a security guard.

  2. Perhaps all that overtime income is what put a smile on his face.

  7. Wow, 16 hours is a long shift. I'm not sure I'd still be smiling.

  8. He has a good attitude for putting in those kinds of hours. Maybe while you took this his company was photographing you on the security video system.

  11. Well captured! The thought of a double shift makes me double glad I'm retired.

  12. Always best to keep on the right side of security men! I do 13 hour shifts and usually look a mess at the end of it - mind you I don't even look that smart at the start of a shift!

  13. I'm pretty sure I would not look that good after a 16 hour shift, but then I'm a lot older than he is!
