Jorgenson Center
The concert hall at the University of Connecticut's main campus in Storrs is the Jorgenson Center. It was empty when I sneaked in to stand on the stage.
The only way I would get up on that stage would be if the hall was empty like that! Looks like a fantastic venue though. I like all the balcony seating.
Can you imagine having to perform in front of so many people..I'd freeze up for sure, well maybe not I do go on a bit haha! Have you seen any performances here Jack.
A splendid Concert Hall Jack ... SO pleased you snuck in early to get this birds-eye capture. Love those classy chairs.
ReplyDeletei'm applauding your soliloquy from way, way in the back.
ReplyDeleteFabulous perspective! Great shot, Jack.
ReplyDeleteA great photo of a magnificent place!
ReplyDeleteThe color of the chairs is nice. :)
ReplyDeleteDid you make a speech?
It's a beautiful hall. And I always thought you were a "ham," but Hamlet? Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteI suspect it was a better choice to try out a few lines of Shakespeare than to break into song.
ReplyDeletei bet you could be heard from way in the back!
ReplyDeleteI was way in the back, too, and wasn't surprised at all by your eloquent Shakespeare performance, Jack!!
ReplyDeleteDid you have a 'soapbox' with you on stage? It is an election year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great and well looking hall!
ReplyDeleteLaughing a Lowell's comment. Nice shot.

ReplyDeleteBig. I trust the acoustics are good. Did you try them? :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a view from the stage! Imagine if the venue had been full of people!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the seats are comfortable. Did everyone in the audience clap wildly when you stepped onto the stage?
ReplyDeleteVery cool design and warm feeling but what's with all the rows of folding chairs in front? It that sometimes used as performance space?
ReplyDeleteA warm and inviting space.

ReplyDeleteHow much fun to have the stage all to yourself! Great shot!
ReplyDelete"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
ReplyDeleteThat struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more."
I wonder why the seats in the rear are such a drab color compared with the brighter seats in front?
Fantastic facility. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth :)
Gosh!
ReplyDeleteSome people stand in front of so many people again and again....
A good thing that it very often is dark...
Nice place, and with a Scandinavian name??
Nice emptiness.
