I'm passionate by carousels, this one is wonderful and you got a beautiful portrait in your first picture. I also like the lights, a charming touch! Léia
I knew a person who, in his 50's, took a ride on horse on a carousel and his foot slipped while climbing on the little horse, he fell and destroyed his knee. To add insult to injury, he had to tell people who inquired that he hurt himself on a merry-go-round.
EG is right these did take me back! I loved horses when I was a little girl and the carousel was one of the few chances I had to ride one! This one is a beauty, and yes, I would want to get on it and ride today! Hope your week is going well, Jack!

Ah, nothing better than father and child on a beautiful carousel! I, too, would like to ride it, and I wouldn't mind holding that beautiful little girl!

ReplyDeleteI bet these photos will take more than a few of us back to our childhood in memories.

ReplyDeleteI would love to ride on that one - glad it is being preserved!
ReplyDeleteLove the delicious over the top detail of this carousel. We tend to have way too many of the very tawdry versions over here.
ReplyDeleteWe never stop loving the carousel do we.
ReplyDeleteSweet portrait.
ReplyDeleteDid you go for a ride too?
That little girl is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI think the dad is even happier to be going for a ride on that thing than the little girl
ReplyDeleteMm, she doesn't look quite sure about this. Me, I LOVE carousels.
ReplyDeleteLove that carrousel and the little girl is precious!
