In CT, victorian style homes are all over (I live in Ansonia, lots here). Although, very few are adorned with the period detailing so lovingly restored. This west nd home is beautiful. Love those rotund porches!
Beautiful building and it looks like a gorgeous neighborhood. It looks as if it may have been split into a duplex, yes? I see two number plaques on its front.
The color looks good on this building and bakes the one next door look dull. Has it been divided up into two apartments? The two entrances made me wonder.
You live in a charming city, these houses are adorable!

I do actually. What big houses. Here they would be turned into about 5 or 6 apartments
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully well-kept! And such great design.
ReplyDeleteAn elegant residence, to be sure.
ReplyDeleteWhile it's easy on the eyes, I bet it's not so easy on the wallet. Nice find. Hope all went well for you with Isaac.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely old houses! I do love the red one! What a delightful place to call home! Great capture for the day, Jack! Enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteI love bold colors for older homes.
ReplyDeleteI love it Jack! It's like fairy tale house!
ReplyDeleteIt's not a color I would have chosen for the house but it is striking.
ReplyDeleteI love it and those wonderful round porches!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! Growing up I used to dream of living in an old Victorian home - preferably with a turret :).
ReplyDeleteYour district must have the highest concentration of pretty - and large! - houses in the entire USA. This is wonderful, love the curved balconies.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have thought it, but the red is quite attractive.
ReplyDeleteA grand old lady in a saucy red dress. Perfection!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beauty.

ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely house.
ReplyDeleteRed Hibiscus
What a beatiful victorian house! Loved the red paint!
ReplyDeleteLooks rather like two houses made from one. Either way, it's very nice although I'd guess it cost a pretty red penny!
