I have had too many Elizabeth Park photos recently, so I promised myself to give the park a rest.
Then I remembered the free concerts on Wednesday nights. Last Wednesday, the local group Eight to the Bar performed for a huge crowd. It was like a circus with a main stage and many side shows. One of my favorite side shows was the women and children working out with hula hoops.
You can never show too many Elizabeth Park photos! It's my favourite place that I've never visited. Great to see so many people enjoying what looks like a warm summer's evening.
ReplyDeleteI tried to find 'the bar' in this shot. A cold one to quench a thirst. hahaha
ReplyDeleteGreat exercise...but now my back aches. :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing day at the park and your pictures are wonderful, with Summer mood!
ReplyDeleteThe lady in the first shot is adorable!

This concert really drew a huge crowd.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time since I tried to spin a hula hoop!
This looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great turn out. I love outdoor concerts.
ReplyDeleteI will never tire of Elizabeth Park, I am thrilled that you share with us. I'm impressed with anyone other than kids, teen, college students or athletes who can do the hula hoop, I tried it recently and was surprised how much effort was involved.
ReplyDeleteThis is really nice Jack. I love shooting at parks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific park!! I never tire of any of them and I always love your captures! Thanks for sharing the fun, Jack!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
What a huge crowd! It looks like you got up on the stage for the bottom pic!
ReplyDeleteooh, so many people! i used to do that hula-hoop, or whatever you call it all the time as a kid. but recently i tried it in target; cant do it anymore... :(((
ReplyDeletere gloucester area; we like to go there! we were just there again yesterday, now to visit dogtown. it was too hot and no insect-repellent, but im not done exploring that area!
Youthful energy is always interesting to watch. Summer concerts, either large or small, are wonderful events.
ReplyDeleteNice images - great lighting. I sure do remember the hula hoops. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had a good time or the best time ever! And a perfect evening. Don't see many hula hoops these days, but Lois Anne and our granddaughter got going with the hula hoop a couple of years ago. Milady could do hundreds of revolutions. I could do maybe one if lucky!
ReplyDeleteStay cool!
what fun. so inspiring. It makes you want to get out and do something. I hope things are well jack.
ReplyDeleteMakes me think back to Commander Cody And His Lost Planet Airmen. My spine would not tolerate this.
ReplyDeleteIt's not as easy as it looks! Fantastic attendance at this event.
ReplyDeleteLast time I saw someone working out with a hula hoop was Grace Jones on a FANTASTIC performance of 'Slave to the Rhythm' on Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee. Check the video on Youtube, it's worth it.
