You would have a big smile, too, if you had just sold me four new tires. One tire had a slow leak and all four were original tires beyond the expected mileage. Then I hit a curb and tore a tire's sidewall. It was time.
Julie made a photo trip in canyon country north of the Grand Canyon with some friends and drove out to a point to shoot the sunset over the Colorado River. She drove across some shale and it sliced two tires.
4 women, alone, off-road, in the dark, in the middle of nowhere, with 2 flat tires, on a Saturday night.
Fortunately, they were within cell phone range. They called me. I called the lodge to pick them up, then called AAA. They next day AAA towed the vehicle into Page, Arizona, where there is no place open on a Sunday for tires. The jeep operator who was taking them into a slot canyon knew somebody who knew somebody who arranged to have somebody show up in a parking lot at the closed auto shop where the car was towed and he sold and installed 4 new tires on the spot.
Julie picked up the vehicle at the end of Sunday afternoon and was able to drive back to Scottsdale on time on Monday.
Sorry you had to get new tires but it pays to have good ones on your car. A tire with a slow leak is miserable. I know because we also had one recently. And we purchased four new tires too.
Definitely a reason for him to smile and what a great smile it is! I suspect he was having to smile for both of you -- four tires at once does not make for a "smiley" day! Great shot, Jack, as always and as always, I do love your "people" shots! Enjoy your day!
Fine portrait of Greg who looks like he knows wheels and tires. Also like your shot of tires. Had to look for a moment to realize it wasn't shot in B&W. New tires are great as the vehicle handles better and brakes work better.

It's good to have a nice friendly salesperson at least! And hope the new tires last as long as the old ones did. :)
