Next Exhibition
While I was at the New Britain Museum of American Art this week, I peeked through some temporary walls to see the artist preparing for a new exhibition that opened on Thursday. It is "Visual Plastic," an exhibition of the work of Michael Salter.
Sometimes it's just as much fun to see behind the scenes in a museum. I already have a photo scheduled about a similar actitvity in one of our museums so I understand your curiosity. Have a good Sunday, Jack!
I have to laugh. We had our bedroom and sitting room painted a very light pink with a slightly darker pink trim around the molding at the top of the walls. We often lie in bed in the morning with the sun shining into the room and say, "Look! It's pink!" :) Actually, it's quite lovely - the light pink and dark red carpet and fireplace make for a very warm feel to the two adjoining rooms.
Ah well, it's pink. It's la vie en rose...
ReplyDeleteI like it to see Artists at work, well done, Jack!

ReplyDeleteIt's always so interesting to see the process of different styles of painting, this looks so much 'tidier' than mine!! Nice sneaky peek jack.
ReplyDeleteBehind the scenes, if you can get there, is always revealing.
ReplyDeleteOh this is a good one. I think you were lucky he dressed in all gray for the shoot! :)

Love this one Jack!
ReplyDeleteYou do seem to get to a lot of artsy places, Jack! I'm going to start calling you a "culture vulture!"
ReplyDeleteQuite basic, I see...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot, Jack! I love seeing the artist at work! The link you included was very interesting, too! Thank you! Hope you've had a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteLucky that you had the chance to peak behind a curtain. That isn't always possible but a treasure when found.
ReplyDeleteHow PINK!

Cool shot Jack! I like the idea of an "obsessive observer" - suits us bloggers .

I like this portrait of the artist at work.
ReplyDeleteCool sneak peak. I can't help but wonder what kind of artwork an artist has tattooed on his arm....
