The tulips in Elizabeth Park's annual garden are always gorgeous in the first light of the day.
Yesterday several people commented that the library's reading room was empty. That is deceptive. I was there soon after it opened, and I went to the third reading room, which had not yet filled up. The library is actually a very busy one.
I always enjoy your photos of Elizabeth Park and the light here is splendiforous! Spring is springing in Connecticut!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic, dad! Man,I miss it there..
ReplyDeleteThe first one's my favorite:)
Bonjour Jack!
ReplyDeleteAwesome colors of Spring in these pictures, this garden is magnificent!
I also love the trees in the background.

A splendid looking park, no question about it. The colors are bright and cheerful. Kudos to the groundskeepers.
ReplyDeleteWonderful morning light on those beautiful tulips ... Your top pic is a delight ... bravo!
ReplyDeleteI wish tulips had a longer blooming season. They are such stunning additions to any garden.
ReplyDeleteJack, beautiful images! Love these.
ReplyDeleteJack, you used that sun flare to your advantage. Lovely shots.

It's always worth getting up for the early light....except on days like today in England where it dawned dank, dark and dreer. Thanks goodness for your tulips to brighten the day!
ReplyDeleteThese shots brought a big smile to my face! Tulips are such cheery flowers.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I miss tulips. For years, I lived near Holland, MI where there's a well known annual Tulip Festival. You get a gold star, Jack, for not only getting up early but taking brilliant pics shortly after sunrise.
ReplyDeleteI love the way the morning light is shining through them all. Just beautiful! I don't even know when our tulips appear...maybe May?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the color:)
Wonderful place to walk in the early morning, great photos, Jack!
ReplyDeleteWarm shot. Tulips soon to make it up here.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous and so are your captures, Jack! You can almost feel the early morning and the colors are so lovely! Beautiful start to my day! Thank you!

ReplyDeleteI love these photos! Light is awesome and the tulips are so beautiful!
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty, pretty. That and the setting sun are the best moments for light... When you can see the sun that is. Not so here at the moment! :-)
ReplyDeleteI never tire of photos from Elizabeth Park and wh can resist tulips. I am quite fond of the third photo.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely light, Jack!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, rich, golden captures Jack - that last shot with the yellow tulips in the foreground and the "rusty" tonings of nearby trees is my favourite. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh Jack these are a delight, the light is so perfect. I honestly think it's the best time of the day. Beautiful images.
