Torrington Mural

After being inside the Trinity College Chapel so long, how about an outdoors shot in northwestern Connecticut?

This mural is on the wall of a building in downtown Torrington.  I liked the girl sitting at the roof end of the lower building.  Torrington is the biggest city in Litchfield County.  It is a former mill town.

  6. This is superb and it's the girl on the corner that really stands out.

I'm wondering how the artist painted that light pole on thin air? ;-))

As a youngster I went through Litchfield many times. Oh, wait, that was Litchfield, Minnesota!

  15. Had to look twice at the girl, a lovely flourish. Who is the person on the black bit? It looks a bit like HM the Queen from here!

  16. Lots going on in this mural. The girl's dangling legs are perfect. Makes you do a double-take.

  17. I agree with many others, there is much to see. I enlarged and the other girl and boy are also interesting, but the one on the roof is by far a stand out. I love the compass which I assume is correct.

  18. It took me the longest time to realize she was not real. Duh. Is the mural's landscape a depiction of the Litchfield area? You know, the linky to Monday Mural is still open. (hint);)
