Hartford City Hall
Hartford City Hall has a stately three-story hall. The art changes from time to time to time. I don't remember who did the works on the left. They look like a Rorschach test to me.
I like it very much Jack, the chequered floor and the wall lamps, the arches and columns all add up to make a very impressive looking city hall, and yes I do agree I bet they are prints from a Rorschach test, maybe the mayor's...what does it all mean haha!
Beautiful and stately it is and I, too, love the flags as well as the art! Those on the left do look like a Rorschach test, don't they!! Terrific capture as always, Jack! Hope you have a great day!
The building is stunning! NICE perspective Jack. And the art is really cool. Maybe you interview the artist for us? (The artist is Chris Roque he is a native of Hartford, who is studying @ Manchester Community College.) :)
Impressive is the word, Jack. Lovely capture - especially like the horizontal lines drawing the eye into the distant doorway, and the lighting reflections on the floor of the fantastic tiled floor. Thanks for sharing.
Nice architecture and attention to detail. The second and third floor balconies are wonderful. I don't understand, though, why a municipality would hang foreign flags. As for the artwork, I'd like to get a closer look at it. Who knows what I would see?!
That's what I was going to say. Dr. Rorschach has turned to the fine arts. I gotta go shoot our city hall one of these days. It's modeled after Paris' Hotel de Ville.
Impressive building and I like the positioning you have taken. It looks like it should be far higher than just a two storey hall!

I like this image - it looks three stories to me.

ReplyDeleteThat is a very impressive city hall!
ReplyDeleteIt looks a bit European to me in its stateliness.
ReplyDeleteA very good shot. The hall´s soil is very striking.
ReplyDeleteVery nice Jack. I like your compositon of the shot.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kate. I love all of the flags and the design of the floor.
ReplyDeleteVery stately! I love all those colorful flags. They're very nicely contrasted with the grays of the floor.

This hall is beautiful and such a great place to show art!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering how old is this building.. it seems old and new at the same time, like a fake castle from italian renaisance!Impressive !
ReplyDelete'Tis a beautiful place indeed.
ReplyDeleteBut what does that art on the left mean to you, Jack...perhaps you could tell us about the one in the middle?
:-)
Re your comment on Ocala: Does that mean you've sold your Hummer?
Very, very impressive. But how did you manage to shoo everyone away?
