Cross-Town Rivalry

West Hartford has two high schools.  When the two teams met in football late in November, the Conard Chieftains were undefeated (9 -0) and rated third among Connecticut's big schools.  The Hall Warriors were rated fifth with only one loss (8-1).

Hall won the game 20-0.  On the last play of the game, a Hall player in blue-and-white intercepted a pass and ran it back fifty yards for the third and final touchdown.  It looked like the intended receiver from Conard gave the play the "touchdown" sign when the other player still had fifty yards to run.

On the first day of each month, City Daily Photo bloggers show photographs illustrating a theme.  For December, it is "action shot."   Click here to view thumbnails for all participants.
