The Joseloff Gallery of the University of Hartford is holding its Faculty Art Exhibition. It runs through December. Among the exhibiting faculty members is LeeAnn Cogswell, a sculptor.
LeeAnn was an exhibitor at an outdoor arts festival I attended in September. She was working on a bas relief.,
A bas-relief that I think is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteShe is very talented, this is an interesting exhibition!

The sculpture seems so real....
ReplyDeleteI'm losing my head....over you!
ReplyDeleteLife-like for sure.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of talent in university art departments. We have a close friend who is extraordinarily talented as a painter and ceramics artist. He teaches art at a community college.
ReplyDeleteWhat a talented lady she is! Great captures, Jack, and as always, I love your "people" shots! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

The sculpture is wonderful and I bet the entire show is something to see. I recently saw a small art show at the Phoenix Art Museum of works made by employees and docents. There was a lot of talent displayed there too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. Thanks Jack!
ReplyDeleteWonderful composition on top, Jack!
ReplyDeleteMy compliments to LeeAnn, she has talent!
ReplyDeletevery nice sculpture, and great shots Jack, it is rare to have a modern realist sculptor!
ReplyDeleteLove that 1st shot!
ReplyDeletePowerful stuff! Ms. Cogswell is an amazing artist. Wouldn't be grand to take her course?
ReplyDeleteThat piece is wonderful! I just saw an exhibition on tv about an artist who makes sculptures out of Legos. I know, sounds quirky, but it's really quite good and this reminded me of it. He does human forms.
ReplyDeleteThe floods in Vernazza are heartbreaking. If you haven't already, check out www.savevernazza.com the photos and story of one man who lost his father are terrible.
These are amazing pieces of work.
ReplyDeleteI like her work. Your first show shows it especially well
ReplyDeleteVery intriguing works. LeeAnn is a lovely, talented lady.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the sculpture!
ReplyDeleteAnd wonderful portrait of the artist!
