Great shot and theme day post. Enjoy September and glad Irene didn't affect Hartford too bad. I have relatives linked to Springfield MA and they have been very concerned over the last week.
By the way, regarding your comment on our Viva la Voyage post on the Villa d'Este, I cannot imagine walking through the lobby of that elegant place after several days of hiking, although you would certainly have deserved being pampered in such luxury after your hiking experience.
Nice work Jack, excellent shot for today, the patterns and reflections are fantastic. I tried to pull it in enough to see what was sitting on one of the top beams, can't quite get it.
What a fantastic perspective/capture for the day, Jack! You can indeed look at it many different ways! I love it! Hope things are beginning to get back to normal after Irene. Have a wonderful day, enjoy!
Hi Jack, I was the one "sitting" at the chair in the evocative Genie's picture at her Paris and Beyond blog. So I though that I'd just pop and say hello. And since I sat at your dreamed scene in Paris, I intent to sat here as a follower too!
Great example of perspective Jack, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletewonderful image for the theme, jack.
ReplyDeleteThis is really neat! It's almost like one of those trick photos with all those lines and shadows.

What a wonderful geometric interpretation of today's theme. You've got a good eye and feeling for perspective!
ReplyDeleteThe geometric pattern gives an artistic "perspective" on the day!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie

ReplyDeleteLove the ups and downs and acrosses - perfect for today. Yesterday's house is too funny. Like a tortoise!
ReplyDeleteI had to study this one for awhile! Great!
ReplyDeleteNow, there are some lines... a mathematician's dream or nightmare.
ReplyDeleteVery nice - good capture of light and shadow - and plenty of perspective!
ReplyDeleteLines, shadows, and reflections. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's good- like an optical illusion.
ReplyDeleteExcellent image, I love the perspective and the reflection. Probably you can easily guess the only fault I find in this picture...
ReplyDeleteI'll skip the fault to say that this is modern art...
ReplyDeleteLove this b&w shot Jack.
ReplyDeleteVery effective use of light and shadow.
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant, Jack!
