Main Street, Glastonbury


I live on the west side of the Connecticut River.  Glastonbury is a pretty and historic town on the east side, maybe 20 minutes from where I live.

In Hartford, people stay on their own side of the river.  I'll bet my kids have spent more time in (the state of) Wyoming than in Glastonbury.

Weird.

    I agree, nice use of foreground to add interest. I must remember to show this to my photography students!
    So is the rive gauche/droit thing in Hartford?

    Hmmm... you have changed your layout. Not sure what I think about the font, but I like the colors. :)
    This is a lovely house. And I like the bunch of flowers in front too. Makes me wonder if there is a pad transformer hiding behind them. ;)

    One day you will have to go all the way to Glastonbury Tor.

    The houses there are different though. Not that there are many.

    This is a lovely home.

    Beautifully composed Jack, gorgeous image. I think that happens a lot, there is a definite North and South of the river here in Perth too. We're on the North near the coast and South is close to the hills, it always feels like another world when we have reason to go South, I just can't even imagine not living near the beach,you're right, it is kin d of weird!

    At least your kids did not have to cross the river to get to BDL for their hop to Wyoming!
