From the left, you see the Connecticut Convention Center, the Marriott hotel, the Connecticut Science Center, the Travelers tower and the "boat building". On the riverfront, the white tent hosts summer concerts.

The sciences center has a very interesting architecture! The picture is impressive, maybe because of the bridge perspective..And great reflections caught in that very urban place.
ReplyDeleteWater reflections are my favorite, well captured.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to see this after being in the heart of it yesterday. No storms in sight in this beautiful image.
ReplyDeleteFabulous reflections and the bridge is beautiful as well! To know more about Science inside a boat is a great idea! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend

- lovely reflections on water
ReplyDeleteI may be exposing the limits of my geographic consciousness, but i have never thought of Hartford as a river town. With the exception of the Charles riverfront in Boston, New England does not seem big enough to have rivers with a national reputation. There have to be lots of smaller rivers where all those mills were located to power the industrial revolution, and of course there are rivers under those quaint covered bridges.
ReplyDeleteSo many different shapes and curves in this image Jack, plus the fab reflections. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautifully composed! I love skyline scenes like this.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! I do love your composition! And what perfect reflections! Terrific capture of a very lovely place! Hope you have a great weekend, Jack! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteHow nice to have a summer concert by the river.
