City Council Chamber

This is the former City Council Chamber on the second floor of Hartford's Old State House.  You saw the Senate Chamber across the hall in February

I don't know why I turned the camera . . . I must have been looking for an artistic effect.

  1. It's such a beautiful room!
I love the windows with the lights, and the charming colour on the wall!

  2. The cane backs almost certainly guarantee one local business will have work to do well into the future.

  3. Beautiful room. You kicked up the Tenin effect a notch!

  4. Love the cane chairs, the repair of which is an art. With all the straight lines in that room, turning the camera gives a heightened interest in the individual components... like SQR said, "The Tenin Effect"

  5. You slipped and fell and the camera went zingy and that's why the picture is weird. Gotta be careful, my friend. At our age, you don't wanna slip and fall. Might hurt your camera!

You said "nope" to Naples, or "nope" to my brilliance, or both? Never mind, don't answer that!

You are also getting good at photographing the inner chambers of the high-and-mightys past in your town. Those desks remind me a little of the old school desks in which we had inkwells. Do you remember those?

Of course you do! You probably remember writing with quill pens! Just kidding!

  7. I like the tilted effect! I think it makes the scene more visually appealing.

  10. Well I like the angle a lot, it feels like we are sitting there. You don't have to tell us about having had a dram too many. :-)

  15. I remember seeing it before and thinking I sure am glad I don't have to keep all those chairs and desks dusted. :)
