At first I thought this was a "Quacker" diner, and thought I'd duck out of this post. But Quaker is different. Is there such a thing as Quaker food? I know Shakers have their own food - it's that Shake and Bake stuff...

Jacob, maybe I should have explained that it is called Quaker Diner because it is near Quaker Lane, a major north-south road in West Hartford. There is a small Quaker meeting house on Quaker Lane. And, I have no problem in running out of photos this year, with all the snow. I haven't even shown inside photos very much this winter, because of all the weather drama outside. Susie has two more appearances scheduled this week and next, unless she sends me other worthy photos from her visit.
Actually, that's something I'm usually quite shy about, too! I've resolved to be bolder this year, and the waitress was just so cool... I knew I'd regret it if I didn't try...
I love places like this. You skipped the most important part of the story though... what did you have to eat? Pancakes I hope! They're always better at a diner.
I love it. There's nothing better than a greasy spoon with some history. I'd much rather eat at a place like the Quaker Diner than any of the new, trendy restaurants that are a dime a dozen. Great photos by Susie as usual.
Susie, you did quite well with these photo's, the waitress is a gem. I am always hesitant to take photo's of people also. I may have to attempt it. I cannot believe I am the first to mention the old radio. Good job!
As a 'travel addicted' I had to click on the flickr link and I was amazed. Gorgeous shots! It's great to see many places I've been to through your daughters eyes.
