Art Fest, Fort Myers

The season for outdoor art festivals is here.  Art Fest in Fort Myers is a good one.

Michael Gard is a woven wire artist from San Francisco.

Sue is a hooker.  That is, she is a member of the Matlacha Hookers,
a service organization for women who volunteer at a variety of local events.

Debra Steidel is a Texan who makes fine art porcelain.

Marnie and Bill Winn are from Montana.  They make custom puppets
from a photograph of your face.

And, Angelo Fico is a Wisconsin glass artist.
The show continues today, off Bay Street in Fort Myers.

  1. What a great variety of skills and crafts in this art fair! Love Sue's moniker! Wish I knit or crochet so I could steal the label.

  8. You do have a lot of fun things to do down thataway! I like the puppets and I know some folks with faces of which I'd like to make puppets. :)

  9. A hooker. Right o.

I rather like the wire (that must be an awful lot of it) and I've always been partial to blown glass baubles... Cool set of portraits!

  11. This does look like a good one. That is, I see a few things that scream "take me home." A hooker isn't one of them, however.

  13. As a teacher, I think my students might be speechless if I showed up with a puppet of myself. Love it!!

  14. Fascinated by those puppets - I can't imitate human likeness with simple pencil never mind in 3D puppet glory!
