The season for outdoor art festivals is here. Art Fest in Fort Myers is a good one.
Michael Gard is a woven wire artist from San Francisco.
Sue is a hooker. That is, she is a member of the Matlacha Hookers,
a service organization for women who volunteer at a variety of local events.
Debra Steidel is a Texan who makes fine art porcelain.
Marnie and Bill Winn are from Montana. They make custom puppets
from a photograph of your face.
And, Angelo Fico is a Wisconsin glass artist.
The show continues today, off Bay Street in Fort Myers.
What a great variety of skills and crafts in this art fair! Love Sue's moniker! Wish I knit or crochet so I could steal the label.
ReplyDeleteWe're outdoors here too.
ReplyDeleteCall it WinterFest though.
Brrrrrrrrrrr!
You are surrounded by artists there.
ReplyDeleteJ'adore the wire sculptures Jack, reminds me of Florence in the city. Very nice selection of arty goodies here.. Did anything catch your eye ?
ReplyDeleteThe puppets are very good. And clever.
ReplyDeleteYou are indeed surrounded by artists and what great displays! I love the wire sculptures!! Have a great new week, Jack!
ReplyDeleteI'd have fun attending this event!
ReplyDeleteFort Myers seems a very nice place, with interesting art and very peculiar... hookers!
ReplyDeleteYou do have a lot of fun things to do down thataway! I like the puppets and I know some folks with faces of which I'd like to make puppets. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful images Jack!
ReplyDeleteA hooker. Right o.
ReplyDeleteI rather like the wire (that must be an awful lot of it) and I've always been partial to blown glass baubles... Cool set of portraits!
Nice set of pics, Jack! I hope all the artists did well.
ReplyDeleteThis does look like a good one. That is, I see a few things that scream "take me home." A hooker isn't one of them, however.
ReplyDeleteExcellent portraits, and I like their work!
ReplyDeleteAs a teacher, I think my students might be speechless if I showed up with a puppet of myself. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteFascinated by those puppets - I can't imitate human likeness with simple pencil never mind in 3D puppet glory!
ReplyDeleteCute looking Hooker.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful selection of goods at this festival. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to leave without a little something!
ReplyDeleteLove the top image.
ReplyDeletei like those glass balls...
ReplyDeleteLove every single shot and I know I would enjoy a visit there.
