Out of the Jurisdiction: Barcelona !

There is a lot of Catalan pride.  Tomorrow is the national day for this part of the country.
I expect that red and yellow banners will be all over the place.

The City of Barcelona has reproduced tiles designed by Antoni Gaudi.  They line the sidewalks of Passeig de Gracia, a major avenue leading down to the beaches.

 Architecture.  Details.  Wow.

St. George is big in Barcelona.

A gallery near the cathedral had some striking modern works.

The first afternoon was spent in a cooking class.  Those who know me are howling with laughter.

Carlo was the chef who instructed half of the group.

Rosa instructed the other half.  I took pictures.

Thanks to those who have expressed concern for Naples and me.  As you can see, I am not in danger from Hurricane Irma, but my house is in the evacuation zone and is at risk from wind, rain and the storm surge. I probably won't know for a few days if it suffered any damage.

Have fun, there is much to see in BCN! I've spent the best of 6 years there, and until the very end, I kept discovering new things to see, to do, to eat...

A cooking class?? You are a man of many interests. Great photos. Can't wait to see more. I was wondering about you Naples home. You will have to let us know how it fared when you finally hear.

There will be Spanish food at your house when you get home?
Hope your Naples place is okay, Jack!
