A Pine Island Sampler

Pine Island is the largest island in Florida, lying just off Cape Coral.  I drove around.

Bokeelia is a charming small town at the far northern end of Pine Island.
Marinas, piers, fishing.

Jeff and his mother operate Crossed Palms Gallery, a very fine art gallery in Bokeelia,
featuring paintings, sculptures, prints, glass and pottery.

Red's time has come and gone.

Jasper's has a pretty good primitive-style mural on the side.
(Linked to Monday Mural.)

Pine Island has a lot of palm-growing plantations.

Once a noisy bikers' bar, these days Grateful Bread and Needful Things
is kind of a bakery/grocery store.

Oh, I so could do with some of that sunshine and light. It's so cold here and I've had a hacking cough and cold for nearly two weeks now, feeling sorry for myself!

A great bicycle and Jeff has quite the mustache. This island looks like a nice place to spend some time.
