Edison Festival of Lights 5K

Kenyan Julius Koskei won Saturday's Edison Festival of Lights 5K with a time of
14 minutes, 30 seconds.  He was disappointed at his time!

I got plenty of practice at panning my shots.

This determined young man ran hard to the finish after losing his shoe and grasping it in his hand.

Don't you just love this boy's joy at running?

And I loved the competitive fire these two showed as they strained to the finish line.

It can be tricky shooting panning photos of runners. Easier with bikes and cars so you did a good job.

Cool Photoshopery! I just made up that word.

Lois was a runner and ran over 50 races, a couple of which were in Naples. I loved to go with her and take photos. How come you weren't in the pack this time?

Great shots! I love them all and the last one is especially wonderful. You've reminded me that I want to practice panning at our annual bicycle race next month.

Very good panning shots Jack - and the runners all look so determined.
