Transitions

Most of the foliage in greater Hartford is still green, but last weekend some fall color appeared.

This pretty barn in Weatogue (eastern Simsbury) backs up to Avon Mountain.

This is Prospect Avenue, the border between Hartford and West Hartford.

Speaking of transitions . . . yesterday I began the drive south to Florida.
I reached the mountains of western Virginia last night.

You left Connecticut too soon - you'll miss the colour! Drive safely.

Have a safe trip. It seems like you just got back from Florida!

You're going to miss the dramatic changes while hitting little white balls in Florida aren't you?
Some beautiful shots here, though!

Thongs have started changing here this week too but we are still behind the normal schedule I think. You are on the road again - it feels like you just left Florida - time flies! Safe drive!

The trees look similar here right now. We have some very vibrant reds this year, which is unusual here. Safe journey south. Like Ed said, your arrival back north doesn't seem too long ago but you've been halfway round the globe and back twice since then.

Now that I-95 has re-opened in SC, your trip should be a little smoother. Wave when you pass through!

It looks like some of the trees were obliging before you left. That barn is gorgeous though out here that thing you call Avon Mountain would qualify as a hill.
