Bicycle

Some monthly themes are hard because no good ideas come to mind or, if they do come to mind,
a suitable subject doesn't find its way in front of my camera before the theme day arrives.

But, "bicycle" is hard in a very different way.  Bicycles are everywhere.  Which to show?  Why?
Here is mine.  This is from a couple of years ago, outside my hotel in Amsterdam.
Click here to see what other photographers do with the "bicycle" theme.

Well done Jack! Seeking out a interesting camera angle turned a simple scene into an interesting one.

Great camera angle!

Well, Jack, you certainly contributed your share of images!. Yes, this angle is very good, yet I prefer the one photo you posted yesterday. Go to Prescott, AZ; Judy posted a photo that I looked for all over the Twin Cities this past week. It was a fun theme, one which I worked the hardest but not satisfied with the one I used. On to September's theme.

Wow. Jack, the building's top lines makes this shot for me. Yes, and the 'angle of the dangle'.

Aha...you picked a photo from the bicycle capitol of the world. It would be hard to go a few feet in Amsterdam without seeing a bicycle.

Quite a setting for bikes, and a terrific choice!

Amsterdam, city of the bicycle (after Cambridge, of course) and this shot captures its spirit so well.

I love the building as a background for this so typical European bike, Jack!

Finding zillions of bike shots in Amsterdam must have been a zinch, Jack. Good angle to this shot.

A very nice image. ( The building at the back is also very pretty)
Composition is great!

Happy weekend to YOU!

I'm with Andy - good perspective. Now I'm picturing you lying on the street in Amsterdam with Dutch people stepping over you, wondering what the crazy American was doing.

I'm guessing it was autumn in Amsterdam when you took this shot Jack, autumn leaves, lovely composition.

I like this one alot. I would still like to see a bicycle photo from Hartford though. ;-)

All of your recent photos sharing a variety of cycle scenes have been super, including this one.

PS Thank you for your kind offer to look for graves for our family. Members of our family have spent hours searching family history there in Hartford over the years. When I have a chance I'll email you a little about our family history.

You are right: Amsterdam is a very good choice for this theme day!

Fine shot for the theme, Jack. I had real problems with this theme as every time I saw a good shot I had the wrong lens on my camera.
