Around Hartford

If you are the Governor, you can put four huge, ugly air conditioning condensers
on the roof of the Governor's Mansion and ignore all of Hartford's
zoning and historical preservation ordinances.

If you are a regular person, don't try it!

At the Elizabeth Park concert, LaTanya Farrell sang just for me!

The American Radio Relay League is the national association for amateur radio ("ham") operators.  It was founded about a century ago in Hartford.  The headquarters are currently in
a small brick building in Newington, a few miles south of Hartford.

Florentino recently opened a new restaurant on Park Street,
El Nuevo Amanecer (The New Morning).

And, when these guys come to your house for a consultation, you might suggest that
first they remove the sign on their car.

Aw...what a wonderful little journey through your collection of shots today. A little bit of everything. The last shot and your comment made me laugh :).

Can't wait to see what Lowell says about your car photo. And what song did Ms. LaTanya sing to you?

Ah.... ham radio. Life before 'social media' as we know it now came on the scene.

Jack, you have posted quite a variety of interesting photos today. Hope the Governor doesn't visit your blog.

I got a big laugh out of your suggestion for the therapists!

Too bad Lowell is away and will probably miss the sex therapy truck! Nice assortment of pics, Jack. Are there still ham radio users around?

What did LaTanya sing? Do tell!

I would really like to be a governor! I am also curious about LaTanya's repertoire...

I'm disappointed that the governor feels so entitled. We are having similar problems with politicians here who think they are above the law. The Press here is having a field day. LOTS to write about.

What a post!

Now, Glastonbury and Guildford are wonderful places in England, what are they like in CT (apart from the fact that you get very specific house guests?)

According to an interview I saw on the news with Dannell, those AC units have been there for two years. The upgrades to the house were approved before he took office. And...he only lives in the house, he doesn't own it or run it. I believe he said all of that without stuttering once.

I cracked up at the sex and love sign. Shouldn't home visits come in a plain brown wrapper?

The LaTanya and Florentino shots are great - filled with warmth and energy.
And I agree with Red Pat. The Sex and Love Therapy shot would make Lowell's day.
