A Great Egret at an Ibis Convention

As dusk approaches, ibises gather to tell tall tales and gossip.
A great egret hired to provide the security eavesdrops.

I think I can hear them all the way up here and I'm shocked to hear the tales they are telling!

I wonder if their stories are true.

Friendly gossip important extends beyond humans, too.

Nice reflections. I've often thought the ibises who've flown into Ocala from Naples were talking about you...they made sounds which sounded like "Remember that funny guy with the hats and that little black box? What was he all about?"

Seriously, this is true!

Took me a minute. I finally got it from the color of the bill.

I think you explained this scene rather well. Excellent reflection.

Yes, there is always one who stands out in the crowd. The Ibises were too polite to tell the Egret that he was embarrassing himself.

Good eyes. At first all I saw was white feathers.

I'm imagining the egret is trying to fit in and hide his height.
Love this shot!

Beautiful . Where I live I would have to go somewhere in another town who has a Zoo or wild display.

Now I can come here.
