56 Arbor Street: Lanny

Lanny is a professional photographer whose studio is at 56 Arbor Street.
He does a lot of the promotional photography for Theaterworks and other corporate and nonprofit accounts.  He was getting ready to do two portrait sessions when I visited.
After that, he was flying to Germany to photograph a client's new factory.

That is not a lens I would have thought of as a portrait lens. He must be good at what he does if he flies off to Germany for clients.

He definitely has a professional camera! I'll be sure to say hi if I see him on the streets of Berlin. :)

Well done. Not often the photographer gets to sit in front of a camera. Lanny is highly talented, but I feel sorry for professionals these days. Everyone with a cell phone thinks they are a photographer so no need to hire a professional.

I also hope the Hotel Pattee is a success as the new owners have invested a fortune in the place.

He certainly looks like he takes things seriously.

It's good to see him doing so well. Many photographers are finding things tough here and often have given up their studios and just rent space short term when they need it.

Very nice, Jack. Did you pick up any tips from him?

You captured him without it looking posed - bravo!
