Back in Connecticut

I am glad I was away and missed the winter storms, but I am equally glad not
to miss all of springtime's gifts to New England.

Like Japanese maples.

And pink dogwood trees.

And white dogwood trees.

I much prefer the springtime gifts to the winter gifts.

Welcome home. Spring seems to be a little later than usual here this year. I'm glad it is here, finally.

Glad you got back ok. Those dogwoods are so pretty! Mine finished blooming weeks ago.

I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to miss all that beauty either.

And I imagine you will soon be off to Elizabeth Park. I don't know if we have dogwood trees here - we have bushes but maybe it is too cold for the trees. They look gorgeous.

I thought by now you would have gotten tired of such floral beauty after Longwood Gardens and making fun of me! Sheesh! Hey, 5 miles is a long way. And I was traveling in those days. And...aw, heck, I don't know why we didn't get there. Or it is certainly possible that we did and I've forgotten. At my age, you know...

The Japanese Maple is splendid, looks wonderful against the blue sky. Is that a new header, fab! You're like an exotic bird Jack.. following the sun :)
