Courtney

Courtney trained as a nurse but learned that the policies and working
conditions in a hospital are not for her.  While she builds her practice as a
home health care aide, she is working as a waitress.

Can you always pick your favorite photo right away?  I can't.

No I never can pick either Jack, sometimes you just have to show more than one :) your subject has a tres photogenic profile, so pretty I can see why you were attracted :)

Always hard to pick a favorite. Courtney is very photogenic so I hope you took a lot of photos of her.

The second one is good with the reflection in the sunglasses :)

She's a lovely-looking young woman. Most of the time for me it's very hard to choose my favourite photo.

Portraits are my favorite, have many but last year I KNEW that my Cuban Abuela was the one I loved. Several friends wanted copies. I made one for myself and she shares my computer room with me.

she's so cute and she has a great profile. the background color works so well with her hair color and skin tone! good luck to her!

A lovely young woman indeed! Hard to pick a favorite, but I do love the profile shot! Your "people" shots are really terrific, Jack. Hope you have a great weekend! Enjoy -- camera in hand, of course!

These are both great. That would be a tough choice.

I'll take the first one.

I can't pick. Don't waste my time tryin'. I do like the second shot here though, with head turned a bit.

Picking a favorite always takes me a bit of time. Sometimes it all boils down to what I am trying to convey with the photo. Like here both are great photographs, but the first shot has a more distant feel than the second shot. So if I wanted to form a strong connection with the viewer I would use the second and if I wanted to give the viewer a more inquisitive feel I would use the first. If that makes sense.
Sorry about going on so, but the photos are both fantastic. Wishing you and Courtney a fabulous 2014. Have a wonderful weekend.

I often vascillate between 2 pics - I put them up side by side on the computer and step back a bit, then decide. Funny isn't it how something in each one catches the eye.

A very attractive waitress, nurse or home health care worker. Nice portraits!

Wonderful portraits - I'm sure she wouldn't be able to choose either. Hope you're either in Florida or surviving the snow, Jack. Take care.

Her skin tones, shirt and that wall are in perfect balance.

I've represented a lot of home care aides over the years. They are poorly paid, at least around here.

She has a nice name and beautiful smile.

I have greater sense of connection to the subject with second photo as one of your previous commenters stated. Both are good, but I prefer the second. I'm not sure if I really like how she looks against the background however, but sometimes you have no choice.

I can't always pick a favorite either. But of these two I like the second one better. She has a fantastic smile that shouldn't be hidden! :)

Wow-wee! Excellent portraits of a beautiful woman. Something about the 1st photo seems more inviting for the viewer... maybe it's the uncertainty of if the woman will look our way and notice us.

Lovely portraits, personaly I like the second one, such a nice smile...
