Decorated for Christmas

The Governor's Mansion on the Hartford side of Prospect Avenue.

A favorite stately home on the West Hartford side of Prospect Avenue.

Red and green.  Christmas all year round on the Hartford side of Prospect Avenue.

A lovely home on the Hartford side of Prospect Avenue.  This one is near the top of the hill.
If you could look out from the back of this house, you would have a
stunning view of the Hartford skyline in the distance.

A nicely decorated home on Walbridge Road in West Hartford.

The January theme for City Daily Photo bloggers is "Photo of the Year."

Sometimes Chiristmas decorations on homes are a bit "over the top," but the house on the bottom is very tastefully decorated! All of them are ones anyone would enjoy as a residence; I think I'll have to photograph our Governor's Mansion in St. Paul, too.

The snow certainly adds the Christmas feeling to these homes, Jack!

These are all the kinds of house I grew up around when I lived in Illinois. I love how they are all decorated for the holidays and blanketed with a layer of white.

All such pretty homes! That layer of snow truly is the icing on the cake...like peeking at a model Christmas village. Here's to a Happy Holiday season!

My favorite is the Governor's Mansion, but I could settle for any of the others...

I wouldn't know which one to choose. That's unusual.

They are beautiful places... particularly the governor's mansion.

How hard could it be to run for governor of Connecticut?
