Melting Pot

Students in West Hartford schools speak 70 different languages as their native language.
Dozens of groups marched in native dress.  Brazilian.  Indian.  Peruvian.  Chinese.  Arab.

There were even two dozen marchers from Nepal.

North America is made up of many cultures. Let`s be thank thankful we are not like other parts of the world (as your photos demonstrate) and not killing each other off because of those differences.

There was a time that NYC was our only melting pot. Now it's all over, in every corner. It makes us even better.

My goodness, what a wonderful array of people, cultures and colors! Looks like they are all having a good time, too!

Probably a bit different from where you spend your winters, right?

What a fantastic event - all different corners of the world converging in yours. (Yes, the Barnes collection is amazing - worth a peek next time you're in Philly!)

I agree with Andy. Great shots! Some beautiful clothing, so different from the everyday Levis and tee shirts.

Everyone loves a parade! I didn't realize West Hartford is so culturally diverse. It appears to be quite a bit like the Greater Toronto Area. I'm impressed.
