Out of the Jurisdiction: Venice V

Last week I wrote that my hotel in Venice was just north of Piazza San Marco and overlooked a canal.

Did I also mention that you can arrive and depart in water taxis?  And that you get into the water taxi -- or a gondola -- by crawling through a window in the sitting room?

Locanda Orseolo.

Looks like you have just framed an innocent man.
PS: I hope you going to post some photos of you climbing through the window. :-)

We organized a group of 16 friends and family for a trip to Italy, and we included Venice. On our gondola tour we were treated to James Bond traveling by boat right between our three gondolas during a break in the filming of Casino Royale.

That is SO Venice to crawl through a window to get to the water taxi. Great image!

Haha, I would love to catch a taxi crawling through a sitting room window. Hope you didn't have to do it *too* often:)

Great shot! And my imagination is running wild at the thought of crawling out a window to catch a ride.

Looks very nice and I would have expected the water taxi bit, but not climbing out a window! :)

I'd love to crawl out the window to "escape." Did you do it?
