A snowbird shows photos from southwest Florida and southern New England and other places he goes.
I have always said Americans are so patriotic. I see it every time I travel to the USA. Americans are always displaying their pride regardless if it's a special day or not.
that is really neat...love that all the kids get to be in the parade, for just being a kid!
They'll sleep well at night, making beautiful dreams!
Nice series of photos here. You don't see this type of patriotism in Sweden, although The Kings Park was filled to capacity the other week when the hockey world champions were celebrated by a few thousand kids and grown-ups.
Yup, Andy, we are are prideful and patriotic group of people, and we love a parade. Your photos demonstrate very clear the joy that community spirit brings, Jack. Photos of kids are terrific!
I don't like going to parades, but I like seeing pictures of them. Lots of happy people!
And I bet they love every minute of it. By the way, that top photo is simply adorable.
Love to see the little ones waving Old Glory. Nice set of pics, Jack.
Wonderful images. The first one is my favorite, such a lovely day and those girls are dolls!I feel happiness in this image, it's so fabulous! :)hugsLéia
By the way, I love your header!Léia
I like to see young children participating on special days Jack, it's good for them to learn about the history of their country from an early age. Love the second shot with the little boy and the balloons, super street shot.
Aww, very sweet. They are learning young, for sure! And atop the history, it seems they'll carry nice fun memories of the day...
These pics are great, Jack! And what a fine day it was for that parade.
Kids always steal the show everywhere...
Kids are cool. Mostly. Was it really that warm?
Awww, they're all so darned cute! The first two shots are wonderful!(Re: Your wooly mammoth comment yesterday - did you know that there's a rather famous site here where they excavated mammoth bones that have been used to confirm among the earliest human activities on this continent? You could have correctly identified a descendent!)
Lots of lovely memories for them - and lots of proud parents, I'm sure. Those two little girls are the height of cute!
The kids look like they were having a great time marching in this parade. Good for them!
How about that! Great shots. Amazing turnout. Wonderful to see and read about, Jack.
Terrific crowd shots, Jack!
So many great photos Jack. You hit it out of the park in my opinion. I love them ALL!V
I love the balloon shot.

The little girls on the top shot are so very cute!
