Look up on Asylum Street

This is a perplexing pose.  Is he showing how to apply deodorant?  Or doing the chicken dance?  I look forward to reading your interpretations.

Some repair of the pediment is needed.  Soon.

Looks like he's fractured his elbow (ouch) or needs rotator cuff surgery (double ouch!).

Looks like he has an itch he can't quite reach. Wonderful facade!

He could be stretching in preparation for doing the chicken dance. You're right....peculiar pose. Nice eye spotting him.

There's a little beast on his back, and he can't either reach it neither scratch the itch!

He's supporting the arm that's holding up that pillar of the cornice!

Whatever he's doing there's two other guys, one on each side, who have the same idea. Curioser and curioser.

Very nice!

I think he's holding up his arm with his other arm. Wall-holding is tiring work! ;)

He was showing off for some woman.

I think he's warning everyone not to get too close -- he is in serious need of a shower! I love thoughtful statues/sculptures!! It's really named Asylum Street??? Lots of crazies in the area, huh? Hope your week is going well, Jack, you've started my day with a giggle that's for sure!

Beautiful architecture.

It's what my seven year old grandson does under his arm to make that sound that puts little boys in hysterics.

Some kind of weird line dance!

Hahaha! I haven't a clue!

First I thought an itch, then a stretch and after reading the comments, I think holding his tired arm since 1871. Excellent details on this building.

What's a pediment? I've heard of impediments. In fact, I have some of those when it comes to my golf swing.

I think this guy is just kinda "fey." I mean, really, long hair and that silly smile!

Funny, funny! He's definitely got a heavy load. Well spotted.

Yup I'm going with Cathy also Jack, if they've been holding up that top bit since 1871, their arms are going to need a little extra support!! Lovely ornate building, nicely shown detail.

Still smiling at your commentary! :-) Fantastic details.

I'm more worried about where his legs are than what his arms are doing... maybe the legs stick out the other side
