Red Dress Run for Women

This is an annual 5K race, raising fitness awareness and funds to combat heart disease in women.

There were 1,200 official runners.

Some runners took the "red dress" idea literally.
I liked the similarities between this pretty mother - daughter team.

Stefanie Wenneborg from Tucson, Arizona, led from the start and won the race.

Loving the tutu! But that must have made for a hard run.

Great, colorful post for the day, Jack, and, yes, I'm seeing red, too, and I'm ready for a nap! Love your photos as always and the way you observe and capture people! Hope you've had a good weekend!

Hi Jack! Just found your blog... I'm feeling really guilty looking at these pics, I run half marathons but where I live it's winter now and my running shoes have not seen the outside world in weeks now!! Look forward to reading your future posts!

Thanks for highlighting this event. Beautiful photos as always. The mother daughter team is a great shot, love how they hold themselves almost identical even down to the angle of their hands as they run.
