I just love these little gems of history we still have in the states. Wouldn't you love to know the stories of the people who lived there?!
I take your "anti-tourist" comment as a compliment :) Although I may bust that as I posted a photo of Venice with a gondola :( (it's kind of hard not to be touristy in Venice though)

Love it - it has a wonderful sense of dignity about it!

It's a lovely house but I also like the small one on the right. So cute! :-)

What a well kept 18th century farmhouse. I always like to find these anywhere I visit.

Nothing says classic beauty like an old, white house. I can't wait until our old house needs new siding....the previous owner picked out beige. Who picks out beige?

I have always wanted an old farm house. This one is wonderful.

It looks like it's still on a good bit of property for being on a "main" street! It's very charming.

So neat and pretty. I would love a verandah like that on the side of our house too.

Oh that is such a classic Jack, would love to see inside that house bet it's gorgeous. How fantastic are the rainbow coloured spirals on the school kids uniforms in the last post, or hopefully that's not just my eyes at the moment haha!!There are many colours Jack aren't there??

What a picture-perfect beauty! Nicely done.
Glad to know that every day is a vacation for you. I'm already looking forward to mine...'xept I've got about 13 years to go :P
With the 16-yr-old, the least of my worries are when he is up in the air.

I'd love to see the inside of the house after I enter through that lovely green door!
