You Wanna March? You Can March!

Monday morning began with thunderstorms.  It looked like the Memorial Day Parade would be rained out.  But, minutes before the 10 o'clock start, the rain stopped.  People grabbed their umbrellas and streamed into the streets to watch the parade.  It went on for miles.  Honestly!

Parades are always fun Jack, so glad the rain stopped, all those people would have been so disappointed hey!

Great parade and what joy in the faces of those marching children... so glad that you had a break in the weather. The wet streets give a fresh look with little reflections all around.

Ah! I haven't seen a Memorial Day parade in years! Even the smallest of towns have them...or used to, anyway. :)

It kind of looks like the whole town was in the parade!

I love watching parades but we don't have them here too often (hardly ever, to be honest with you, so it's nice to see it in your photos!

I have noticed that many movie sets wet down the street before shooting a scene - Mother Nature did it for you before the parade! Great captures!

Nice series. I'm glad the rain cleared...but, I bet they would have marched any way, don't you? Hope you had a good Memorial Day.

Phew, that was lucky! The rainy atmosphere is very nice for photos though, just look at all those reflections!

I love parades - those dogs, the children... Looks like there was more of the town marching than watching!

That is a fun series of shots. My favorite parts of parades are usually the old cars or if any animals are in them and I see yours had both.
I really miss thunderstorms, we rarely get them here.
