Basketball

The NCAA tournament isn't the only basketball being played.  At the First Cathedral Playfields in Bloomfield on Sunday afternoon, a bunch of guys played a hard fought game of basketball.

My four teams in the NCAA tournaments (Connecticut men and women and Ohio State men and women) all won their first and second round games, so all are in the Sweet Sixteen.  This is where the competition gets tough.

It was warm on Sunday when I took these pictures.  Yesterday it snowed again!

I prefer this scene to those that contain all that white stuff! Will it ever stop?!

It will be nice when they can play basketball everyday! Hope the snow lets up soon.

Sometimes you can be a real smart-aleck, ya know? I've been tongue-twisted since late last night trying out the phrase you so rudely challenged me with!!! :-)

Nothing like a good basketball game. Well, I take that back. Golf beats basketball hands down any day of the week.

Tough day yesterday. Couldn't putt. Shot 84. Sheesh! And we didn't get any snow, either. So I can't blame it on that! :-)

Nice shots of the action! My 6 year old grandson is just now learning about basketball and he loves it.

I was just thinking that it must be warmer now and then Iread your last sentance. Same thing here. Last week it almost reached 90, this week we had snow in the high country again. Crazy spring weather.

It is such an American view for me - almost like a scene from a movie:)
Sorry, I made a mistake in previous comment, oh my, English is so difficult sometimes:)

I agree with Joo! Here, more soccers players, as I already told..
Snow?..come here, it won't be long before we go to swim in the sea! :)

It's great to see the kids out playing in the fresh air! We got snow yesterday too.

Mad as a March hare. Referring to the weather here. I like that church in the background.

There are some big guys in that game! It snowed here yesterday too and is cold today (but sunny!).

UConn is about the only good pick I've made in my brackets (which are nearly busted). Nice shot.

Nothing like a game with friends.

The Jayhawks are playing tomorrow. I was really sad that the Longhorns didn't make it to the sweet 16. Good luck to your teams. Unless they're playing mine. ;-)

Great action shots, Jack... I was wondering about you and the "snow again." I ran into my colleague from Hartford earlier this week and she rolled her eyes when I inquired about the snow!

Spring will eventually show up...

Nice action shots --- really like the bottom one. Enjoy the rest of the tourney. But, honestly, who really cares now that the boys in green are out?! *sigh* I'm already invested in other events, like the Sony Ericsson tennis tournament in Key Biscayne. Now that's a tournament!
