Weekend Reflections: Quaker Diner

Quaker Diner was introduced to you yesterday through my daughter Susie's photos.  She took a couple of nice reflection photos, too.

If you would like to see more reflection photos, James from Newtown Area Photos hosts Weekend Reflections every Friday.

You can see more of Susie's photographs on Flickr.  She has many wonderful photographs, including photos taken on her six-month long trip in 2008 to South America, South Africa and India.

Looks like a classic diner. Oh, how I miss having breakfast at places like this. Unfortunately, they'd probably have a good chuckle if I requested gluten-free pancakes.

I love the lunch counter and I especially like the public telephone sign! Perfect.

J'aime bien la première pour l'ambiance sympa et j'aime bien la seconde pour ces objets dont on ne sait pas lesquels sont des reflets !

Looking through my contact lenses, that seems to be quite a cozy, down home place to eat! I'd have to put on my "funky" sunglasses stepping out into the bright snow and sunny weather!
Happy weekend Jack of Hartford

Great looking reflections and it looks like that diner does a brisk business too!

Looks a very popular place - it's always a good recommendation when the locals eat there.

So what are you gonna die with Susie gone? Sit in the diner and drink coffee all day? She does nice work, that's for sure. I'll bet this is a very busy place!

More great photos. I'll have to check out her flickr page. I spent a month in India too. Absolutely incredible place. I'm sure she enjoyed it.

Looks like a place where time moves slowly. Must be good to have that crowd!

Now I REALLY want to go there. It's almost 9:00 PM, I've just arrived from work and am famished. Isn't that perfect?

Neat diner, Jack! I think I might like to try the coffee there sometime.

Nothing more quintessentially American than sitting at the counter. Fun shot.

Great reflections, and I LOVE that clock, "time to eat"...isn't it always?

The toys along the top of the photo caught my eye. Diners, too, seem to be fading fast from the American scene.

Can ya beat some nice greasy food at a diner on a cold winter morn? I think not. Like this one!
